ARCA Cup Series Rules

GTRL ARCA Cup Series Rules

This series uses ARCA Sim Racing by The Sim Factory. The goal of these rules is to encourage clean, respectful racing with consistent expectations for all drivers.
Failure to follow these rules may result in an in-race penalty (pass through, stop/go, end of the longest line, held in pits), a post-race point deduction, or a suspension.

Pre-Race
  1. The race schedule is posted on the website.
  2. The race and Teamspeak server IP's and passwords are posted in the private forum.
  3. The race director shall inform drivers of any rule changes for that race before the warm-up session.
Chat/Teamspeak
  1. Drivers should be on Teamspeak for practice and the race.
  2. Drivers should keep race chat to a minimum and only use it as it pertains to course conditions.
  3. Please try to use auto-chat messages as much as possible when passing high or low or when your car is damaged and off pace or if slowing for a caution.
  4. Personal attacks will NOT be tolerated.  It is better to wait until after the race and register a complaint with the race director than to chew someone out on Teamspeak.
Practice/Warm-up
  1. The servers are available 24/7 for practice.  Official race-day practice starts 60 minutes before schedule qualifying
  2. Drivers shall obey all  pit entrance and exit rules during the practice/warm-up session.
Qualifying
  1. Drivers shall proceed promptly to their qualifying run.
  2. Chatting and Teamspeak are not permitted during the qualifying session.
  3. If a driver wishes to take a provisional starting position, they should hit the "ESC" key and abort the qualifying run.
Start and Restarts
  1. The leader shall maintain pace speed until the green flag waves.  Do not accelerate before the green.
  2. Do not lag behind the car in front of you and attempt to jump the restart.
  3. Drivers shall not attempt a pass on a restart until reaching the back-stretch.  This rule is not in affect when there are 10 or fewer laps remaining.
Entering and Exiting Pits
  1. When pitting, drivers must state their intentions with a chat message similar to "Pitting This Lap, Pass High".
  2. Drivers may pit off turn 3 or turn 4 unless the race director states otherwise in the pre-race meeting.
  3. When exiting the pits, re-enter the track on the back-stretch. Do not enter the track prior to the exit of turn 2.
Cautions
  1. If you are the cause of a caution, pit the second time around and restart in the back.
Take a pit road speeding penalty in order to be placed at the tail end of the longest line.
  2. Drivers shall use chat and/or Teamspeak to notify the race director that they are taking responsibility for a caution.
If no driver accepts responsibility for the caution, all drivers involved in the initial contact must pit and start in the back on the restart.
  3. If you are the cause of 2 cautions, or think you have caused 2 incidents, please park your car.
  4. A driver that causes 2 cautions in 2 consecutive starts will be suspended for one race.
  5. A driver that causes at least 1 caution in 3 consecutive starts will be suspended for one race.
  6. Do NOT attempt to race back to the line unless it is the last lap.  The field is automatically frozen under caution except when it is the last lap of the race.
  7. Maintain pace speed unless damaged.
  8. Please stagger alternating high and low while under caution.  All lead lap cars should move to the high line after crossing start/finish with one to go.
Race
  1. There is to be no BLOCKING!! Holding your race line is not considered blocking. Blocking is moving left or right to get in front of a car trying to make a pass.
  2. The GTRL servers are configured to make one attempt at a Green/White/Checker.
Post Race
  1. All race provisionals will be (10) ten points less than last place attending. Everyone that starts one of the first three races of the season will receive up to three provisionals. If you start racing with us after the first three races you will be given provisional points for the remainder of the races if you miss one.
  2. Complaints/Protests are to be made within 6 hours of the checkered flag. If a protest is made by the party found to be at fault, the fine will be doubled. Please submit lap info and cars involved to the race director via email.

My machine locked up, AGAIN! I have some changes planned for the next race.

NL Rob. I think I`m going to have to take some downforce off the car to beat that time. Ill give it a go after the ORP race. Need to see 85 GP actual record for Monza.

Time to check the Monza hotlaps, Jay Smile

Aldo, I believe so. Too much RF camber seems worsen the late off rollover loose condition. More grip across each tire helps too Smile

Did changing the camber offset some of the loose condition coming out of the corner, Rob?
